Rafael Ventura is a consultant, trainer and founder of Ventura Hospitality Consulting®, which he has led since 2002. His career began in hotel operations and developed into strategic consulting, operational management and executive training in hospitality, restaurants and tourism.

His experience includes business restructuring and recovery, funding applications, feasibility studies, management control and concept development. He supports tourism and property investment decisions through risk analysis, asset management and strategic advice to investors and boards.

He holds a degree in Hotel Management from the Estoril Higher Institute for Tourism and Hotel Studies and a Diploma of Advanced Studies in Management, specialising in Strategy, from ISCTE-IUL. His education also includes EHL Executive Education in Asset Management & Decision Making, an MBA in Real Estate Valuation and vocational trainer education.

His teaching and training experience includes Turismo de Portugal / Lisbon School of Hospitality and Tourism, Universidade Europeia, ISLA and Instituto Piaget. His subjects include food and beverage management, hotel and restaurant operations, food cost and management control, connecting training with business practice.
